LOVED this place! Cabins are very nice and at home feeling, people were very pleasant. River just outside was so cool. Fishing was fun, nice walks along the shore. They offer horse back riding and an array of other things.

My husband and I recently stayed at Cottonwood Cove for 4 nights. This is a great place for a mountain getaway. The customer service is absolutely awesome. Be sure to visit the gift shop and don't miss the ice cream shop.

We can accommodate Family Reunions, and Weddings   (no larger than 100 guest per event)
Our new restaurant "149 Eatery" will offer catering.
Half of your reservation deposit is required at booking, except monthly RV's, full month will be required for deposit.
Due to our short season and High demand, there will be NO deposits returned after May 1st. But you may move your reservation to a different date for that same year.   Before May 1st you will receive  75% of your deposit.  We strongly recommend that you purchase trip insurance in the event your trip is interrupted or you have an unexpected change of plans.

Cottonwood Cove Guest Ranch is an environment to come unite with family, relax in one of our many unique cabins and sit on the porch while sharing fun stories. Cottonwood Cove is more than just a vacation: it's a place to make memories.
Nestled at the base of towering cliffs and surrounded by cottonwood trees, the Rio Grande and majestic mountains like McClelland Mountain and Snowshoe Mountain, our ranch is surrounded by nature. If you want to experience Colorado, Cottonwood Cove is your place to camp.

Horseback Riding

Hop on a horse and get a tour of the landscape from the back of one of our 10 horses

We have 4 four-door Jeeps to choose from for your outdoor adventure in Colorado

Fishing

Enjoy amazing fishing on the Rio Grande River, with over 1/4 mile of private river access.

Traversing the Rio GrANDE nATIONAL fOREST

Because our lodging is so close to the Rio Grande, you can fish for Rainbow, Brook, Brown, and Cutthroat Trout (including Native Rio Grande Cutthroat) whenever you like.

We're also only a nine-minute drive away from the Rio Grande National Forest. Ski or hike around the 1.83 million acre woodland. Visit the four wilderness areas: La Garita, Sangre de Cristo, South San Juan and Weminuche Wilderness. Take a scenic drive to get a tour of the rugged landscape and nearby mountains. Ride an ATV or Jeep to get to the Wheeler Geologic Area to see eroded rock. The beautiful national forest can give you the peaceful retreat you need from the city life.
